In an interview with Filmy Gyan, Mahira was asked about fans commenting that they are heartbroken about the news of her dating Mohammed Siraj. To this, the Kundali Bhagya actress responded, “I am not dating anyone. I never clear things. Chahe mere liye acha bol rahe ho bura bol rahe ho mei woh insaan hu joh react hi nai karti. Kisi ka kuch nai hai. Fans can connect you with anyone. Toh we can’t stop them. Jaise mei kaam bhi karti hu toh unke saath bhi hoh jata hai. They make edits and all. But I don’t give much importance to all this. If you like this, do it, but there is nothing like this.”

Rumours of their dating sparked after Siraj liked one of Mahira’s Instagram posts. Eventually, they started following each other on the social media handles. Earlier, Mahira’s mother, Sania Sharma, dismissed the rumours in an interview with Times Now. “What are you saying? People say anything. Now that my daughter is a celebrity, people will link her name with anyone, so should we believe them?” she had said.

For those unversed, Mahira earlier dated Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Paras Chhabra. The duo was together for three long years. While the reason behind split remains unknow, Paras had once claimed they had compatibility issues.
